Semester 2'2012 - Week 9 [Window System]

In new week after holiday, I have continue to expand my design for the self adapt system by combining the previous design for temperature control, with second part of my system which is Window system.




         

              The purpose of window in building services is to provide a quality air quality inside a building by letting natural air to flow from outside into internal parts of the building. Providing good air quality can be achieve by letting go excessive air pressure and humidity of the building outside, and much more power efficient to use the natural wind than using fan out system. Wind sensor plays important role where it detect storm, so the air flow inside the building in comfortable. The rain sensor is to detect rain so the window can be shut during rain to avoid from rain entering the building. From figure above we can see the block for window control which is for ventilation purpose. For this system, the fuzzy control will be receiving inputs from switch temperature, real temperature sensor, wind sensor or anemometer, and rain sensor.

Semester 2'2012 - Break & Week 8 [Holiday & Exam]

From 15th to 23rd of September are considered as Mid Semester Holiday week. Thus week 8 will continue at 24th September onward.

Regardless week 8 are the week for Mid-Term examination. So this 2 weeks will be no progress as I have to prepare for Mid Semester Exam.

Semester 2'2012 - Week 7 [Discussion]

This week I have meet my Adviser Sir Mohd Azlan Bin Abu (MAZA) with me fellow colleagues for final year project which under the supervision of sir MAZA to brain storming for ideas of our projects.

From my design in week 3, my colleagues recommend to use a split signal block to be used on MIMO fuzzy blocks as shown below.


There are no error in design as in week 3, but the result are not as I expected. only Heater meter are showing output results but not Fan. Fan meter only static at Zero the whole process, so I assume its a failure and decide to use my current design shown in week 6.

As for improvement I have gain an idea to put light control and automatic window system to the project. Will be shared on week  8 discussion.

Semester 2'2012 - Week 6 [New Design]

This week I have finished my basic designer of the project which work well and producing expected results.

The design are as shown below.


From diagram I have made changes from the week 3 problem. Which I made a series of fuzzy logic files but using parallel input for all system. Which mean same input but gives to different decision on each system of fuzzy logic program system.

The output also different for Fan and Heater, thus problem from week 3 are solved.

My target for week 7 are to put more input and output on the system so it can be more versatile to adept to any environment as stated in its title.
