Semester 2'2012- Week 5 [Poster]

Due to some circumstances my Adviser Sir Mohd Azlan Bin Abu would like use made a poster for our presentation in week 14 first draft, which he will comment and critics any lack in the poster info and design.

As for the week I only done the poster as shown below and was accepted by my adviser. Regardless the results part a remain void as my simulation are still not finished.


In the poster are my new block diagram and flow charts which might be different from my entry from week 1 to week 15 of semester S1'2012.

Semester 2'2012 - Week 4 [Hari Raya Break]

Due to Hari Raya Eid Mubarak celebration the whole week are holiday and project progress are on hold.


As for problem from previous week my adviser have given a tips to solve the problem.

For the week I will made two fuzzy system program instead on just one. It will be uploaded after been verified by my adviser Sir Mohd Azlan Bin Abu (MAZA).

Semester 2'2012 - Week 3 [Progress: Problem 1]

For this week I have fully finished my fuzzy system data which will be use for my Labview simulation block diagram. Thus I have continue to design the block diagram and front panel of Labview.

Labview front panel for prototype 1 is as below:-


   The heater and fan meter show the amount of power,% of the motor used. While arrow of slide properties are to be set by user to see whether the simulation can produce output as expected or not. While Numeric indicator are to shown exact value that the temperature are reading.

But problem occurs at block diagram level which shown as below:-


From picture above we can see MIMO or Multiple Input Multiple Output for fuzzy system design block cannot connect to two output at the same line. The results are failure of output production.

While in use of MISO or Multiple Input Single Output option, only the heater meter are producing output. But Fan consist of no output reading of its own, only the same as Heater reading as shown below.


Thus I need to consult with my adviser regarding the problem.

Semester 2'2012 - Week 2 [Finalized New Title]

Task:-


  1. During the first meeting with my advisor Sir Mohd Azlan Bin Abu (MAZA), we have finalized the new FYP title for my project.
  2. The form of title change are to be submitted before the end of this week. (10th August 2012)
  3. Update for final year project for UniKL students can be checked at new websites  http://fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my
  4. Simulation for project to be started.

Results / Summary:-



  1. My latest project title are : Development of Environment Self Adapting System using LabView for buildings.
  2. The form have been submitted at 1315 hour to my adviser office.
  3. All announcement regarding final year project student can be access without lag anymore.
  4. My simulation are stating with Fuzzy Logic System Designer via LabView. Result of this week is shown below.

Semester 2'2012 - Week 1 [Holiday Progress]

This entry will show progress of the project during semester break from 4th May 2012 to 27th July 2012.

Task:-


  1. Research of new title for project due to some difficulties of previous project hardware difficulties.
  2. Research for comparison for new literature review for the new title.
Results:-

Task 1
  1. From research for new title, I have came up with few titles to be considered with basics of the project are still based on LabView software use. The title will be shortlist and be decided by my adviser Sir Mohd Azlan Bin Abu (MAZA) to be finalise.
  2. The proposed title are:-
    • Development of Self Adapting Environment Building.
    • Development of Climate Control Room.
    • Development of  Weather Control Building. 
  3. The Project concept is to develop a system to help a person to able to control a building environment. Such as the temperature, light uses, and many more.

Task 2

  1. For comparing and references, I have found a few topics regarding a control of a room. But It was nowhere similar with my topics. The topics and the scope are shown below together with any helpful data it has.
    • Smart Monitoring House
      • From:- UniKL BMI, Resource Centre
      • Scope:- Monitoring any rat activity in the house.
      • Data gain:- An useful diagram for LabView design.
    • Smart Gardening System
      • From:-  UniKL BMI, Resource Centre
      • Scope:- A system for water to be sprinkle on a plant on time set by user.
      • Data gain:- Extra information to be added to usefulness of my project target and Temperature reading data.
  2. From IEEE website I have found almost similar project but unable to be refer as it needs to be paid a huge sum of money that I cannot afford.
Summary:-

The new project title is listed and will be finalized in my next meeting with Sir Azlan (MAZA). The Registration for new semester S2'2012 are underway during this week.
